More Evil

My apologies for not posting – life has been busy, and this weekend is no exception. This post will be short – maybe…

We’ve have had not one, but two mass-murders this weekend – one in Texas, the other in Ohio. Details are still coming in, but I can almost predict the following:

  • The Democrat Candidates, aka The Clown Posse, will all call for more gun control because “we must do something” even though their “something” will only impose restrictions on the law-abiding gun owner & not anyone bent on evil.
  • The murders will have occurred in so-called “gun-free zones,” which obviously do not work as the murderers had guns. They should be renamed “defenseless zones.”
  • The murderers have thoughts of grandeur – wanting their names in the news even though they may not be around to see it…their gory way of becoming famous. They could also be mentally unstable.
  • There are early rumblings in the media of tying these shootings to the hate-filled rhetoric of the President. (How the President is somehow responsible for this is beyond me.)

I have given a bit of thought as to why it seems that we are seeing an increase in these types of events, and while these thoughts have been put forth by others, seem to be true.

As mentioned above, many of the murderers have mental health issues, some diagnosed, others not. Our society, with its focus on instant gratification through social media, certainly doesn’t help. Twitter is a garbage dump – foul language and hateful comments by people famous and those not even on the radar all clamor for that recognition that these people crave that they otherwise do not receive in real life. Technology has exasperated the problem, not resolved it.

Our media takes the mantra “if it bleeds, it leads” to a new low. The rush of the media in their desire to be first in the 24-hour news cycle reports everything possible, presenting misinformation as fact just to be first. And they gleefully report the murderers name non-stop with their backgrounds, beliefs, manifestos, and body count with the fervor of fans at a concert. No wonder people who are unstable consider mass-murder as a route to infamous immortality.

And all the while, the casualty count of one of these mass-murders is a bad weekend on Chicago’s South side. But let’s not go there because of politics and agendas…as in the politicians ignoring the murder rates in Democrat controlled cities, and a complicit media lying by omission the real problems surrounding gun-related murders.

Rather than dealing with criminal behavior and the mental health aspect of the problem, the politicians want to demonize a piece of metal and plastic. This provides the politicians in these areas deniability while promising to “do something about this epidemic” during multiple campaign seasons. Somehow, it never gets done other than trying to restrict the legal ownership of weapons. Nothing is done about crime or mental health, no matter what the politicians promise.

Politicians also have no problems, especially with firearms, with passing laws to restrict anything that can be used by a private citizen to defend themselves. After all that’s the job of the police – if they get to the scene of the crime, if at all… Politicians want the power over the people, which has been the function of governments throughout history.

As far as the media is concerned, why would they want to help solve a source of news? After all, mass-murders provide coverage for days if not weeks of misinformation to the masses as well as the all important ratings points…

Yes, I’m a cynical bastard, and I can go down this road a long way… To whit…

I guarantee if the weapon(s) used in these murders was the problem, there would be 100,000+ murders a day as there are over 100,000,000 million weapons in the hands of private American citizens. There wouldn’t be anyone left in the country in a few weeks.

To restate an earlier comment, I have no idea how the President of the United States could be responsible for instigating mass-murder. The most hate-filled rhetoric has been coming from various members of the Democrat Party, and has been ever since President Trump was elected. If anything, the Democrats should be looking in a mirror to look for the source of the problem. But then again, they need to see a reflection first…

Most of the mass-murders have been leaning toward or are Democrats or Democratic-Socialists if they had any political leanings. (look at the Bernie-supporting gunman that shot up a Republican baseball team, for example) That should tell you how unhinged that party is becoming, and how unstable some of their followers are. Thus far, I haven’t heard of any Conservative or Conservative-leaning mass-murderers.

The reason the Democrat politicians want to ban AR15s is because the full-auto variant (the M16 and M4) is over 50 years old, and hundred’s of thousands of veterans know how to use this firearms platform. Should the Democrats ever succeed in achieving absolute power, many of the patriotic veterans, who swore to uphold the Constitution, could take up arms with a firearm that they are intimately familiar with. This presents a clear threat to that desire for power.

Last, with the politicians stating that it’s the police’s job to protect citizens is an absolute lie. Police are under no legal obligation to protect a private citizen, and that has been upheld in the courts. In other words, the police arrive after the crime with the intention of gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and outlining the body before carting it away to the morgue. The only first responder at the scene of the crime is going to be the (potential) victim, and if they live or no depends on how they can defend themselves. The politician does not care about you except for your vote, and only if it’s for them.

That’s all for now. We’ll see what the aftermath is from this goes.

Sanctuary Evil

This past week, President Trump announced that it was being considered and reviewed that overcrowded detainment facilities would be relieved by releasing (by court order) the illegal immigrants into sanctuary cities and states. Of course, the Leftist Mayors, Governors, and various Congress-critters predictably howled with outrage, charging the President with almost every accusation under the sun.

Quite frankly, I’m sitting back with equal parts being amused, laughing, and somewhat sad.

The amused and laughing parts are at the amazingly nova-bright in-your-face hypocrisy of the Left. For the past couple of years, they have been screaming about the inhumane conditions and cruelty of the illegal immigrants being kept in detainment centers. They have touted the benefits of the illegal immigrants – diversity, increased economic prosperity, and lower crime(!). When it’s announced that they may get more of their cherished illegal immigrants, then they scream about the inhumanity and cruelty of releasing those same illegal immigrants into cities that have publicly proclaimed themselves of being open and welcome to illegal immigrants.

Which is it? Open city or closed city? Good illegals or bad illegals? President Trump has the Left holding their pants up in the corner that they have put themselves in with no way out. It’s about time someone has shown these morons what hypocrites they really are.

The sad part comes into a couple of categories.

The first is for the immigrants themselves. Most, not all, are looking for nothing more than survival and a better life. I fully understand that, but that’s where my sympathy ends. Crashing through a country’s border and then having to look over your shoulder for the rest of your life is no way to live. You would always be illegal, and probably being taken advantage of as well. There are better ways to do this the right way.

The second are for the citizens of the towns, cities, and states (mostly in California) that have declared themselves as sanctuaries for the illegal immigrants. I don’t know if the citizenry voted/approved of the sanctuary status for their locations, but I’m fairly sure that once the influx hits, job availability will go down, wages will go down, and crime will go up. I’m sure that once the pain hits, the citizens will want change, but I’m not wholly sure if they will connect the actions of their elected officials with the problems and vote someone in that isn’t a Liberal Democrat.

What is evil about the whole situation is that the Liberal Democrats have put their political power above their sworn duty to serve the citizens that elected them. They are using the illegal immigration issue, in part, to solidify their hold on power. By using this issue, they are using the illegal immigrants – people – to further this agenda.

In other words, they are hurting thousands of people, citizens and illegals, to acquire power. Folks, that’s a type of cynical evil that I’m appalled at.

I hope that the people of these cities, towns, and states stand up to this evil, shout “Enough!!”, and can these twits as soon as possible. The sooner they wake up, the better.

I have my doubts that will happen anytime soon, but that’s another post for another time.

Potpourri for the Week

Once again, we find ourselves with too little time and too many things to write about, especially in detail. So, here’s a few impressions of the events since the last post:

The junior Representative from NY aka AOC celebrated the decision of Amazon not to locate a second headquarters in NY, calling it a victory for the common worker. She went on to state that the $3 billion that would have been given (!) to Amazon would better be used for infrastructure, teacher’s salaries, and helping the poor (among other things).

As if NY has $3 billion laying around…

AOC supposedly has a degree in economics from a prestigious college that ran her family $250,000. Just shows that 1) money can’t buy intelligence, 2) she must have slept through class, 3) the college was more interested in Socialist brainwashing than practical knowledge, which is evidenced by 4) AOC having to work as a bartender after graduation.

Her parents must be so proud that their money was well spent toward AOC’s education…

NY is hemorrhaging jobs and population due to their tax structure. Amazon didn’t need any more headaches from brainless politicians. Despite the Socialistic leanings of its owner, Amazon is still in the business of making money. Go capitalism!!

Next on the list is the Jussie Smollett fiasco. Sadly, this is the latest of a long line of people suffering from TDS (Trump Derangement Syndrome) attempting to smear the half of the population that voted for Trump. Of course, the media, politicians, and others (self-nominated moral & social justice warriors) jumped on that train supporting Smollett’s allegations until they were proven false. And even then, some people are still saying that Smollett was attacked by MAGA hat-wearing deplorables.

When was the last time that anyone has credibly heard or reported a conservative or MAGA hat wearing person attacking a Liberal spouting off? It’s always been a tolerant spouting Liberal-type person attacking a conservative.

Folks, some friendly advice – grow the **** up (fill in your own 4-letter word), get over yourselves, and move on with your lives. It’s embarrassing…really…

Last on the rant for today is the Democrats in the House ramming through gun-control legislation which do nothing for reducing crime but infringe upon the rights of law-abiding Americans. The following is from Oklahoma Representative Markwayne Mullin:

The right to bear arms is a constitutional right and it is one that I do not plan to give up any time in the near future. Unfortunately for those of us who are ardent supporters of the Second Amendment, Democrats controlling the House of Representatives have different plans for gun owners.

Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats put forth a bill to turn law-abiding gun owners into criminals. H.R. 8, the Bipartisan Background Checks Act of 2019, is a completely misguided piece of legislation that harms those who lawfully carry and does nothing to stop criminals from accessing firearms.

By requiring background checks for temporary transfers of possession, it would trigger penalties of up to a year in prison and/or a $100,000 fine for simply handing a firearm to another person. Even transferring a firearm to someone during a life-threatening emergency could be deemed a crime by a federal prosecutor or judge if the transfer wasn’t “immediately necessary to prevent…imminent death or great bodily harm.”

H.R. 8 also claims that “universal” background checks will prevent recent gun tragedies, but these checks are nothing more than a sham. Current law already requires a background check on every commercial gun purchase in America. H.R. 8 does nothing to fix the loopholes in the background check system and instead introduces more red tape for gunowners to cut through.

The bill does nothing to keep criminals from gaining access to firearms. A mere 6 percent of career criminals bought their firearms through non-dealers at gun shows and flea markets, according to the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF). Moreover, 77 percent of criminals in state prisons for firearm crimes got their firearms on the black market, on the street, from a drug dealer, or through theft, according to the Department of Justice.

Unsurprisingly, House Democrats don’t want to hear from conservatives about their take on gun violence. Minority Whip Steve Scalise, a victim of gun violence at a congressional baseball practice in 2017, was not allowed to testify at a House Judiciary Committee hearing on H.R. 8. Whip Scalise himself offers that H.R. 8 would not have prevented his shooting as his shooter purchased his firearms legally in the state of Illinois.

For House Democrats, H.R. 8 is nothing more than a messaging tool and a blatant infringement on the Second Amendment rights of Americans that is dead on arrival in the Senate. I will continue to be a defender of all Americans’ Second Amendment rights and speak out in opposition to this misguided legislation.

Be Safe, and Be Well.

The Party of Death

Friends, it’s been a while since I’ve posted, and for that I apologize. Not that I haven’t thought about it multiple times. Like many of you, I’ve been watching the unbelievable political circus that seems to have no end to the insanity. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that it’s going to end anytime soon.

I truly am beginning to believe that the Democrats are the Party of Death. Death upon demand to the unwanted and innocent, public shaming of those who do not bow down to their mantra, endless persecution to those in power who oppose the insane policies of the Democratic Party, and division to all so as to easily control the rest. In other words, Death to the Republic.

By no means is the following a complete list of the egregious actions of the Democrat Party, just the most outrageous.

The first is the outrageous passage of the law in New York permitting late term abortions on babies (yes, babies!) that are viable outside the womb. Worse and most disturbing part of this was the outright celebration of the New York legislature and Governor when this law passed.

Now please forgive me for the following rant…

The legal definitions of a fetus are rooted in the manipulations of the Supreme Court in 1973 in order to satisfy the Due Process clause of the 14th Amendment. Indeed, any legal definition of a fetus must ignore the fact that the “clump of cells” is a developing human being, and is thus alive. Thus, the legality is met that the “clump of cells” is akin to cancer, is like a diseased foreign body, and can be removed without fear of prosecution for the murder of another human being.

Because that is exactly what it is. Murder.

I fully understand that people make mistakes, and sometimes that mistake results in the miracle of life. However, one should not compound that mistake by murdering an innocent baby. I know a couple of women that have had abortions and have told me in confidence that they regret and mourn for their aborted babies, and wish they had not done it.

For politicians to not only celebrate the passage of such a law that legalizes murder but to also extend taxpayer funding to an organization that provides such services is an abomination to the American Citizen and God.

End rant…

Second is the radicalization and hypocrisy of the Democrat Party. This could be split into several posts, but I’ll do my best to briefly summarize it all in a few paragraphs.

The apparent embracing of the failed philosophy of Socialism is being promoted front and center as the cornerstone of the Democrat Party’s platform. Examples abound from history (the latest from Venezuela) of the destructiveness of this philosophy as a governmental system. And yet the touting of Socialism to cure all the ills from healthcare to social injustice is being promoted by the Democrat Party.

For the Democrat Party to foist Socialism upon the rest of the country, they would need to turn the country into California. California is almost totally under the Democrat’s control. Every week we hear about new taxes and laws being passed that defy common sense (banning plastic drinking straws, for instance). This is where the following comes into play: Immigration and Voting.

One of the biggest fights between President Trump and the Democrats that we have seen is on the issue of Immigration. The Democrats are all for the status-quo, which allows almost unlimited immigration from countries that are socialist in nature, which means that the majority of the immigrants would vote for Democrat Party candidates. President Trump (and some, but not all Republicans) are for building a barrier and restricting/reforming immigration policies & laws to something approaching common sense and sanity. Where this is going to end is anyone’s guess at this point in time.

Voting is a sore point with the Democrats. The Hildebeast lost the last election due to the Electoral College vote, but won the popular vote. There is a movement by Democrat controlled State legislatures to circumvent the Electoral College, but that probably will be challenged in the courts.

Of more concern is voter fraud, which is exacerbated by “motor-voter” laws and the objections of Democrats to voter ID laws. Election boards are required by law to purge their voter roles periodically, but don’t since that will allow for election fraud from both parties (although it does seem to benefit Democrats more than Republicans). The last election saw the practice of “ballot harvesting,” of which lends itself to fraud.

The basis of our Republic is the ability of the American citizen to be heard by the government. One of those ways is by the election of officials through voting. The voting system must therefore be beyond reproach. As it stands today, it is not, and is suspect in Democrat-controlled states like California and cities like Chicago.

The Democrats are also no strangers to hypocrisy. For instance:

  • Several years ago, all the leading Democrats (Pelosi, Schumer, Reid, Obama, et. al.) all stated that a wall on our Southern border was necessary. Now they are opposed to it politically because President Trump (a Republican) made it a campaign promise.
  • If a Democrat is credibly accused of sexual or racial misconduct, it’s no big deal. If a Republican even has a hint of sexual or racial misconduct, it’s scorched earth to remove or defame that person. Think of the verifiable actions of Governor Ralph Northam, Senator Corey Booker, former Represenative Barney Frank, and contrast that with the treatment of now Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavenaugh on an unverified accusation and you’ll understand.

I can probably go on, but quite frankly, it’s damned overwhelming.

In my last post, I had the lofty goal of trying to put forth a few thoughts to retrieve our country back from the Democrats. Outside of pushing back on every Democrat-sponsored proposal and voting against every Democrat Party candidate, I’ve got nothing. And perhaps that’s good – it’s simple and direct.

Starting local and working our way up may be the best way to effect change. Supporting those candidates that support the Constitution and the People in actions not words is also a way to change the political landscape. And as a complementary plan, support those organizations that try and keep government accountable such as Project Veritas and the Second Amendment Foundation.

Until next time.

Power Play – Part 1

Friends, it’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything.  Life, work, holidays, etc. all seem to take up the time that I would normally use to write.  Now it’s grabbing what time I have to take a breath or two and organize my thoughts.

Last month, the Democrats were elected to take control of the House next year, and the Republicans retained control of the Senate.  I fear that there will be nothing but chaos and confusion coming out of the House as the Democrats have it in their minds to target the President for nothing more than political persecution.  Also buried in the mess of things the Democrats want to address will be healthcare, gun control, taxes, and immigration. Nothing good will come from the Democrats being in the House.

The Democrats should look at France, and the open rebellion the French have against President Macron over taxes, immigration, and the lack of apparent accountability & empathy the Macron administration has for the citizens.  I read that a gallon of diesel fuel is over $7.00, and 65% of that is taxes. President Macron wants a 6% increase to fund a green agenda. In a country of where people run out of a monthly paycheck in three weeks, there is definitely a disconnect.

The European Union has an immigration problem (this is also part of the issue in France).  The EU governing body (unelected, from what I understand) has dictated immigration quotas for each country.  Migrants/refugees stream in, and countries like Germany & France displace their own citizens & support them with welfare.  This is something that the Democrats also want – unlimited immigrants to this country and support them with tax dollars in the hope that the immigrants will vote Democrat, keeping them in power.

Immigration is always a touchy subject for some people.  For me, immigrants must follow the rule of law to come into our country, whether it’s to work, study, become a citizen, or to seek asylum.  There are standards and laws that must be followed, but the Democrats don’t seem to care. “It’s for the children!” they cry. Cow patties, I say!  It’s about power and control.

Invariably, the question comes up why don’t these people who want to crash through our borders stay in their own countries and fix their country’s problems?  I’ve got a few thoughts on that:

First, many of these countries are dictatorships with failing economies (think Venezuela).  Governments that are oppressive to their people, sometimes brutally. This usually leads to a two-class society – the privileged and poor – without hardly any opportunity to advance.  Survival is now the goal.

Second, gang violence.  There are reports of gangs ruling the streets in conjunction with government approval floating around on the Internet.  If true, another reason to leave especially with the next point –

Third and last on my short list – gun control.  Most if not all of these countries have repressive forms of gun control.  Only the government (dictators) and criminals (gangs) have weapons, and the citizens have no form of self defence against either.  After all, why should you arm people who represent a threat to your power?

All of the above points represent portions of the the Democrat’s agenda – immigrants that will vote to keep the Party in power, tax burdens to support the immigrants to buy their fealty & to impoverish the citizenry (if you’re working to survive, you don’t have time to rebel), and disarm those that would rebel.

The Democrats double down on this power grab by apparent voter fraud.  California’s “ballot harvesting” is probably one of the most egregious forms of fraud I have ever seen.  Having the dead vote and the miraculous appearance of ballots during the aftermath of elections only confirms what I suspect.  The exclamation point is during seven contested elections of where the Republican candidate was leading, the elections were won by the Democratic candidate – this defies the odds and common sense.

And it just doesn’t stop there…

The political parties pass laws that affect the people they represent, but exempt themselves from those very laws.  The prime example of this is the ACA, otherwise known as Obamacare. And what laws they do pass that they would fall under, they are not prosecuted.  The prime example of this is the multiple instances of Hillary Clinton’s favoritism to donors of the Clinton Foundation and security breaches with emails.  There is a blatant disregard of laws by the ruling elite, and anyone with half a brain can see the hypocrisy, the lies, and the crimes committed by the politicians who wish to have unfettered rule.

It’s no wonder the people of the United States do not have confidence in their government nor in the political party’s abilities to represent them nor confine themselves to the Constitution.

So where do we go from here?  I hope to address this in Part 2.
