…reveals that I’m bleary-eyed and droopy tailed with a hint of disgust after watching the first Presidential debate between the Hildebeast and Trump. Before the pundits pollute my thinking, here are the impressions that I’ve come away with.
The Hildebeast came out swinging, putting Trump on the defensive. She appeared to be well-prepared, he did not. She was well polished in her composure (but that’s what 30-years in the public eye do), but Trump seemed like a country bumpkin in comparison. Both candidates fired facts & figures back and forth, and the Hildebeast ended the debate with a personal attack. The audience cheered both candidates for some of the highlights, and the moderator appeared to not be in control for most of the debate. In fact, I believe he was ineffective at keeping the candidates under control and on point.
The impression that I came away with is that the debate resembled more of a schoolyard argument between two grade-schoolers than two presidential candidates. Neither candidate appeared Presidential nor worthy of the highest office in the land.
I imagine that the pundits will give a slight edge to the Hildebeast as being the winner. However, I believe that the real winner was the person that wasn’t on the stage last night. That would be the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson. I could see that after the petty performance of both candidates that he would pick up support from the undecided voters.
The clear loser of the debates is the American People. This is what we have to choose from?
