The Stimulus Package, Obama Style

Does anyone remember the promise from President Obama that unemployment would not exceed 8%.  The last unemployment figure is now 9.5%, and is expected to increase for several more months.  The White House is backpedaling like crazy making excuses that they didn’t know how bad the economy really was when President Bush left office.

Really?

Considering that between the election and taking office multitudes of economic experts paraded through the “Office of the President Elect” (!) offering advice, analysis, and solutions to heal the economy of the United States.  Facts, figures, and everything in between was analyzed to the Nth degree and resulted in the pork-laden Stimulus Bill “that we had to pass.”

Again – Really?

So this week, President Obama (with family in tow) is attending the G8 world economic summit.  The “girls” are headed out with shopping sprees (stimulating Italy’s economy instead of the United States), and Obama’s interest appears to be, well, elsewhere:

I would hate to be in his shoes once Michelle gets back from shopping…

It’s nice that he and his family can enjoy themselves at the taxpayer expense while we are paying the bills (now and for the rest of our great-grandchildren’s lives).

Peachy…just peachy…

  1. Inexperience rears its ugly head.

  2. Joe says:

So I went online to look up “Political Promise.”

    Here’s the definition:

  3. Indigo Red says:

See… this is why women should never have been allowed in politics and diplomacy.

  4. Tom:

Thanks for stopping by my blog, and thanks for adding me to your blogroll! I REALLY like the look and style of your blog — great design! — and the photo on your masthead is outstanding.

  5. Tom says:

Pasadena – Inexperience is the least of it. Hope and change has been replaced by dope and same.

Joe – Same definition for “Campaign Promises” applies.

Indigo – It’s not the women or the diplomacy – It’s the ID-10-T’s that are running the show that are the problem.

BZ – You are most welcome! And thank you for the complements on the blog’s look and design. I worked hard on putting this template together.

  6. Mr Pink Eyes says:

It looks like Obama was the one stimuluated in those pictures. At least Obama managed to stimulate something!

  7. Kris says:

I haden’t seen these other two pictures, lol. He is becoming easier to make fun of everyday between his and Biden’s comments. The two must never talk.

  8. Debbie says:

Obama better watch out, Michelle wears the pants in that family and she will be very upset.

  9. Tom says:

Kris – Those other pictures were hard to find. I only saw them once during a news broadcast.

Debbie – I fully expect Michelle to have pinned Barry’s ears back by now, although the shopping trips and nights out dining probably have made up for it by now. (Nice having the Secret Service getting flowers for you, though…)

  10. Tom C says:

The first woman had hair like Chelseys…hmmmm Wouldn’t that be a hoot!

  11. Shoprat says:

His election is proof that millions of harmless flakes working together can unleash an avalanche of destruction.

  12. Braden says:

Yeah, I thought the stimulus b.s. was supposed to fix everything. On top of that, Cap & Tax … I mean Cap & Trade will fix the environment all the while we go back to living in caves.

By the way, it was 50 degrees yesterday morning in my neck of the woods near Pittsburgh, PA. 50 degrees…in July.

    Al Gore, call your office.
